MOTO is a consultancy focusing on market development work in agriculture. The consultancy is structured in two companies, one in Akita prefecture in Japan and one on Taiwan. The Akita office has a strong focus on the development and promotion of the local forrestry resources in Japan. Akita is one of Japans biggest producers of Akita-sugi wood which is used in traditional japanese architecture and furniture. The Taiwan office specializes in market development activities of Taiwans agricultural products and fishieries, as well as augmented products that may reach to high-tech. Much of the work for smaller to medium-sized agricultural clients require a lean and focused strategy that allows for cost-efficient development of overseas markets. Services include market scans, feasibility studies, marketing campaigns, supply/sales channel restructuring, exhibition participation and strategic marketing.
